There are gatherings that remind us why we do what we do. The 16th edition of the Zankyou Wedding Club, held at the majestic Myriad by SANA Hotels, was one such moment.
Under the theme ‘Water: the power of immersive experiences at weddings and events’, this gathering invited us to immerse ourselves in our feelings, in the present moment, and in the experiences that truly touch people.
The morning began with a warm reception hosted by Myriad by SANA Hotels, where guests had the chance to catch up and share the first smiles of the day. In the Leónidas Room, with an incredible view over the River Tagus, I welcomed everyone and officially opened the event. Shortly afterwards, we were welcomed by Dr Salomé Gorgiladze, representing the SANA group, and by Pedro Almeida Santos, Director of Myriad.
This was followed by a round-table discussion which I had the pleasure of moderating, as CEO of Zankyou Portugal, guiding an inspiring conversation between Bárbara Taborda, Bernardo Lima, Patrícia Santos and Hélia Silva.
We spoke about the importance of feeling and the increasingly urgent need to live in the present – a reflection of the disconnection facing society, as Bárbara Taborda highlighted.
Bernardo Lima, from Scents Studio, recalled the beauty of telling stories through sensory experiences, prolonging them over time and transforming them into vivid memories.
Patrícia Santos, sales and social events promoter at MYRIAD, emphasised the importance of teams, stability and the connections between people – something essential to the success of any project.
The morning continued with an inspiring talk by Bárbara Taborda and her BSlow project, which challenged us to reflect on our own pace, presenting tools for better team management and greater productivity – and, consequently, more business opportunities. The session concluded with an active meditation, a moment of pause and reconnection that allowed us to take a deep breath after months of intense work.
