Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the Michelin Guide is famous for awarding stars to restaurants and hotels worldwide. This Tuesday, March 10, Portugal hosted its own Michelin Gala for the third consecutive year, held on the island of Madeira.
Ten new restaurants earned a star in the guide. Fifty Seconds, in Lisbon, run by chef Rui Silvestre, earned its second star. Another highlight of the ceremony was the recognition of Brazilian chef Angélica Salvador, who earned a star for her restaurant Indiferente in Porto.
The 2026 Michelin Guide Portugal Gala was hosted by actress Daniela Ruah and took place in the auditorium of the Savoy Palace Hotel in Funchal.
